Crown Minerals, New Zealand. Crown Minerals, a section of the Ministry for Economic Development, manages, on behalf of the New Zealand Government, all oil, gas, minerals and coal resources it owns, known as the Crown Mineral Estate.

This website contains a wealth of information relating the oil and gas industry in New Zealand. Information includes such items as the Crown Minerals Act, the Crown Minerals (Petroleum) Regulations, and the Minerals Programme for Petroleum.

Venture Taranaki. Venture Taranaki is the regional development agency for the Taranaki region and at this link has an area devoted to the oil & gas industry including a comprehensive directory of upstream suppliers.

The American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG). Currently the world's largest professional geological society with over 30,000 members, AAPG provides publications, conferences, and educational opportunities to geoscientists and disseminates the most current geological information available to the general public.

Australian Petroleum Production and Exploration Association Limited (APPEA). APPEA's mission is to promote a legislative, administrative, economic and social framework which efficiently and effectively facilitates safe, environmentally responsible and profitable oil and gas exploration, development and production.

International Association of Oil & Gas Producers (OGP). The OGP is the worldwide association of oil and gas companies involved in exploration and production. Its members include private and state-owned oil and gas companies, national associations and petroleum institutes.

Offshore Oil and Gas Environment Forum (OEF). This website is a medium to locate and disseminate environmental information concerning the sustainable development of the offshore oil and gas industry.

Petroleum Exploration Society of Great Britain (PESGB). (www.pesgb.org.uk). The PESGB is a registered UK charity and a non-profit making organization, promoting education in the scientific and technical aspects of petroleum exploration. The PESGB has over 5,000 members and around 80 company members.

Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE). SPE's mission is to provide the means to collect, disseminate, and exchange technical information concerning the development of oil and gas resources, subsurface fluid flow, and production of other materials through wellbores for the public benefit; and to provide opportunities through its programs for interested (and qualified) individuals to maintain and upgrade their individual technical competence in these areas.

United States Geological Survey (USGS). The Learning Web contains lesson plans for teachers, project ideas and homework help for students, and gateway to various USGS resources and children activities. Including information on earth science, geology, geography, earthquakes, volcanoes, landslides, hydrology, mapping, flooding, etc..
